EZ Navigator - Reuse Main

When we Reuse, we help to make less trash and save ourselves a bit of cash! By reusing old items, we save on what we have to buy new. Whether it be used cars, electronics, or something as simple as the clothes we wear, reusing items over again is a simple way to reduce what we throw away. Here are a few tips:

Have a yard sale!

Tips for a better Yard Sale!
  • By having a yard sale, we can sell our used clothing and other goods to folks around the community who can make use of our old items.
  • Yard sales can help bring in some extra money to replace some of the older items for sale!

Donate to Charities and Thrift Stores!
  • If you should have old clothes, appliances, electronics, or other items in good condition that might be used over again, you may consider donating them to local thrift stores.
Thrift stores are often run by non-profit organizations. They will sell your used and in good condition items to others for a reduced price.
  • For larger items such as appliances and electronics, you may want to call ahead first to see if the particular organization will accept them as donations.
  • When you donate, you are making an anonymous contribution. This is an excellent way to be a good citizen and help out those in need!
Reuse it yourself!
  • Some items around the house can be used again for other things than what they were intended for. Think of creative ways to reuse things, or use some of our suggestions.
  • Hand-me-downs are clothes that have been worn and grown out of. Younger or smaller family members can use them instead of purchasing new clothes.
  • Scrap lumber can be used for smaller projects. Instead of throwing them away, make a birdhouse or a mailbox. Get kids involved and teach them how to do it.
