Book Recycling

From textbooks to romance novels, if you're done with it, we'll recycle it!

One of the more common questions that we get is what to do with old books. From college textbooks and encyclopedias to romance novels and old manuals, books of all sorts are a precious source of paper that can be recycled.

New for 2010:

The Cambria County Solid Waste Authority announces on-going book recycling!!

For anyone who has books to recycle, we will now accept them at our office in Ebensburg during our business hours - Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm - free of charge. Drop-offs can be made only during these hours, and only at our office location.

For schools, libraries, or other institutions with larger quantities of books, please call ahead (814-472-2109) to make arrangements.

Books can NOT be accepted at any of the bin sites, so please bring them to our office for recycling.
