For the third year in
a row, the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority has been presented
with
Waste Watcher Awards for Excellence in Recycling, Excellence in Public
Education and Excellence in Special Collections. Awards are decided
by the Professional Recyclers of PA (PROP), PA Waste Industries Association
(PWIA) and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
The award for Excellence
in Recycling is given to outstanding recycling programs in the Commonwealth.
The Education award is given for our educational
programs for schools and organizations across the region,
our newsletter - "The
Recycler", Recycling Summer Camp,
and our wonderful website - www.cambriarecycles.org.
The award for Special Collections is for tour phenominal participation
in our on-going electronics collection,
Book Recycling Event, and HHW
Collection. A big thanks to all who participate and make the Authority
as successful
as it has been and continues to be!
