We have received many calls asking what to do with old propane tanks.
As a result, we decided to post the answer on the web!

If you have an old propane tank, open the valve to bleed it empty.
When empty, take to any local scrap yard. For a list of scrap yards near you, click here.
It's best to call to make sure if they accept them before you take it to them.

If you do not wish to take the tank to a scrap yard, and are hesitant to bleed the tank yourself,
you can take any size propane or compressed-gas tanks to Suburban Energy Services,
located inside the Agway at 464 S. Center St. in Ebensburg.
